The STEAR application is an emergency evacuation planning system for airborne release scenarios, which utilizes the EAR algorithm to compute safer evacuation routes under dynamically evolving hazardous conditions. STEAR integrates atmospheric dispersion outputs, time-dependent plume concentration fields, terrain-aware routing grids, and user-defined evacuation objectives to support exposure-aware movement planning.
STEAR has been developed by researchers and students at the Data Management Systems Laboratory (DMSL), Department of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus.
